02/25/2017 - Paul Iron Cloud Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul D. Iron Cloud Sr. “TaSunke Ota,” age 76, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., and Father Peter Klink, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Rick Two Dogs.
Burial will be at the Iron Cloud Family Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD.
Rosary services will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD.
Vigil services will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD.
A memorial fund has been established at the First National Bank of Gordon, NE, PO BOX 290, Gordon, NE 69343 or 308-282-0050.
Paul was born on January 26, 1941 in Gordon, NE to Isaac Sr. and Irene (Pourier) Iron Cloud. He made his journey to the Spirit World on February 18, 2017 near his home in Porcupine, SD.
Paul is survived by spouse Mary Louise (Big Crow) Iron Cloud of Porcupine, SD; sons Paul John(Lisa) Iron Cloud and Mark Rogers of Porcupine, SD and hunka son Alan Mackey of Rapid City, SD; daughters Paulette (Terry Weston Jr.) Iron Cloud and Debra (Richard Sr.) Iron Cloud-Jensen of Porcupine, SD; brothers Bruce Ellison and Rick Two Dogs of Porcupine, SD; sisters Emmaline Iron Cloud-Conan, Ethleen Iron Cloud-Two Dogs, Eileen Iron Cloud, Alberta Iron Cloud-Miller, Donna Tuttle-Eagle Bull, Beverly Tuttle, and Daniele Two Eagle, all of Porcupine, SD and Leatrice Big Crow and Yvonne “Tiny” DeCory of Pine Ridge, SD; grandchildren Jamie McGhee, Tyler (Ashley Woodard) Lunderman, Marque Lunderman, Bryer Cottier, Paula Iron Cloud, Tommi Iron Cloud, Jory Weston, Colter Iron Cloud, Katerri Weston, Brady Weston, and RJ Jensen; and great-grandchildren Taleah Lunderman, Aniya Lunderman, Braiden Lunderman, Laila Vitalis, Emma Lunderman, and Adeline Lunderman.
Paul was preceded in death by father Isaac Iron Cloud Sr.; mother Irene Pourier-Iron Cloud; brothers Myron Iron Cloud and Isaac Iron Cloud Jr.; sister Eldean Weston-Iron Cloud; niece Colleen Weston; and nephew Marlin Weston.
Pallbearers will be Myron Heathershaw, Bryer Cottier, Jory Weston, Brady Weston, RJ Jensen, Colter Iron Cloud, Tim Lessert, Scott Weston, Beans Weston, Bodie Weston, Mark Rogers, Nick Cummings and Waylon Riggs.
