02/25/2017 - Monna Bettelyoun-Glade
Funeral services for Monna Mae Bettelyoun-Glade, age 65, will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Charles McGaa officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Chris Brooks.
Burial will be held at a later date.
A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
Monna was born on July 22, 1951 in Rushville, NE to Waldren and Ramona (Randall) Bettelyoun. She made her journey to the Spirit World on February 20, 2017 at the Custer Regional Hospital in Custer, SD.
Monna is survived by mother Ramona (Randall) Bettelyoun of Wanblee, SD; husband James Glade of Pine Ridge, SD; sons Cole Glade of Pine Ridge, SD, Jerry Clark of Custer, SD and Brandon Lopetesky of Weatherford, TX; daughters Sammi Glade and Amy Clark of Custer, SD; sister Betty Lou Bettelyoun of Rapid City, SD; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces Angel Shellito, Sunshine Bettelyoun and Melanie Rausch; nephew Kenton Webber; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Monna was preceded in death by father Waldren Bettelyoun; sister Walean Bettelyoun; granddaughter Toni Garnette; maternal grandparents Robert and Alice Fast Horse; and paternal grandparents Isaac and Sophia Bettelyoun.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Monna Mae Bettelyoun-Glade.
