Funeral services for Michael James Brewer, age 33, will be at 11:00 AM on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Percy White Plume.
Burial will be at the Jumping Eagle Family Cemetery in White Butte, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD.
Michael was born on November 18, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Fred and Jean (Jumping Eagle) Brewer. He made his journey to the Spirit World on March 10, 2017 in Rapid City, SD.
Michael is survived by mother Jean (Jumping Eagle) Brewer of Manderson, SD; significant other Lucy Mousseaux of Rapid City, SD; brothers Tyrell Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD and Anthony Brewer of Greeley, CO; sisters Tracy Brewer of Phoenix, AZ and Connie (Cook) Brewer of El Paso, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by father Fred Brewer; sisters Stephanie and Naticia Brewer; brothers Nathan and Greg Brewer; grandparents Oliver and Marjorie Jumping Eagle and Laura Gallego; and uncle and aunt Carmen Tony Garcia and Bernice Garcia.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Michael James Brewer.
