Shaun Jason Long Soldier was born on January 1, 1973 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alvin Long Solider, Sr. and Ethel (Comes) Long Soldier.  Shaun made his journey to the Spirit World on March 20, 2017 in Kyle, SD.

Shaun is survived by his sons, Tayshaun Long Soldier and Taten Long Soldier both of Kyle, SD; father, Alvin Long Soldier, Sr. of Colorado, brothers, Alvin “Chipper” Long Soldier, Jr. of Mitchell, SD, Gerald “Jerry” Long Soldier, Sr. of Kyle, SD, Marlin “Moons” Long Soldier of Chicago, IL, Craig Long Soldier and Hakala Long Soldier both of Kyle, SD; sisters, Claudette Long Soldier of Sturgis, SD, Evie Long Soldier of Pine Top, AZ, Elizabeth Long Soldier and Rhonda Long Soldier both of Kyle, SD; and special nieces and nephews, Jerelle, Ebert, Nichelle, and Jhacie Long Soldier.

Shaun was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Long Soldier; son, Afernee Long Soldier; daughter, Tashauni Long Soldier; and spouse, Crystal Red Owl.

Wake Services:  One night wake service starting at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD

Funeral Services:  10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD

Burial Services:  St. Stephan’s Catholic Cemetery, Kyle, SD
