Funeral services for Julia Louisa Piper, age 57, of Harrison, NE will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Crawford, NE with Father Arul Innaiah officiating.
Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Crawford, NE.
A rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. John the Baptist church.

Julia passed away on March 24, 2017 in Crawford, NE. She was born on August 12, 1959 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Crawford, NE, the second daughter of Franklin and Marie (Bogner) Piper. Julia grew up on the family homestead 18 miles east and north of Harrison, NE. She attended Highland (District #5) Elementary School. She graduated from Sioux County High School, attended Chadron State College for 2 years, and graduated from Western Nebraska Community College in Sidney. Julia worked various jobs, from road construction, building fence, and checking windmills. She had a hand in caring for several of her nieces, nephews, and great-niece and -nephew. She also was a caregiver for the last 5 years of her mother’s life.
She is survived by sisters Kathryn Dieckmann of Lusk, WY, Rosa Roberts of Crawford, NE, and Cheryl (Craig) Scherbarth of Wallace, NE; brothers Franklin Piper Jr. of Harrison, NE and Marvin Piper of Scribner, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Marie (Bogner) Piper, brothers-in-law: Bruce Roberts, and Ray Dieckmann, and sister-in-law: Carolyn Piper.
