Funeral services for Thomacina Greta Spotted Bear, age 43, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., officiating. Traditional Prayers will follow.
Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with services starting at 7:00 PM.
Thomacina was born on January 20, 1974 in Gordon, NE to Greta Big Owl and Hobert Spotted Bear. She made her journey to the Spirit World on March 31, 2017 in Hot Springs, SD.
Thomacina is survived by father Hobert Spotted Bear of Wounded Knee, SD; children Blaine “BJ” Spotted Bear-Mesteth of Rapid City, SD, Ian Spotted Bear of Porcupine, SD, Robina Spotted Bear of Hot Springs, SD, and Lacy Spotted Bear of Edgemont, SD; uncle Orland A. Big Owl Sr. of Porcupine, SD; and aunts Rhonda Big Owl-Two Eagle and Fern Rose (Alton) Big Owl-Mousseau of Porcupine, SD.
Thomacina was preceded in death by mother Greta Big Owl; brother Robert Price; grandparents Evelyn Badger-Big Owl and Ernest Big Owl; aunt Eleanor Iron Teeth-Big Owl; and uncle Teddy Two Eagle.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Thomacina Greta Spotted Bear.
