Funeral services for Leo "Bomber" Lee Lays Hard Jr., age 58, will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating and Reverend Cordelia Red Owl co-officiating. Lay Readers will be Mona Vocu and Annie Montileaux.
Burial will be at St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD.
Leo Lee Lays Hard Jr. was born on October 28, 1958 in Pine Ridge, SD to Leo Lays Hard Sr. and Caroline (Small) White Feather. He made his journey to the Spirit World on April 6, 2017 at the Vibra Hospital of Denver in Thornton, CO.
Leo is survived by daughters Tiara Lays Hard and Tasha Rooks of Kyle, SD and Monica (Algin) Young of Rapid City, SD; son Benny Apple of Kyle, SD; brothers Thomas Lays Hard of Rapid City, SD and Rolland Lays Hard of Kyle, SD; sisters Connie Cut Shall and Judy Lays Hard of Rapid City, SD, Donna Janis and Marilyn Lays Hard of Kyle, SD, Kathie St. John of Rapid City, SD, and Jeanette Lays Hard of Kyle, SD; grandchildren Ciara and Colten Mesteth of Kyle, SD, Tanner, Camden, Addison, and Algin Jr., all of Rapid City, SD, and Memphis Apple and Theresa Apple of Kyle, SD; special friend Joann Rooks of Kyle, SD; and special aunt Rena Short Horn of Kyle, SD.
Leo was preceded in death by parents Leo Lays Hard Sr. and Caroline (Small) White Feather; son Clint Lee Lays Hard; aunt Stella Janis; and uncles Pershing and Noah Lays Hard.
