Funeral services for Leonard Anthony Little Finger “Wakiyan Zinkala,” age 77, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Sister Barb officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Broken Nose.
Burial will be at the Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Cemetery in Oglala, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM also at the Brother Rene Hall.
Leonard began his journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, April 8, 2017. He passed away peacefully at his home in Oglala, SD, surrounded by family. Leonard was born on October 6, 1939. He was born to Wallace and Pearl (Horn cloud) Little Finger at IHSHospital in Pine RidgeSD.
Leonard is survived by wife Teri Little Finger of Oglala SD; sisters Judi Cornelius of Albuquerque, NM and Rosemary Dillingham of Wounded Knee, SD; sons John Little Finger and Tyler (Stevie) Little Finger of Oglala, SD; daughters Jessie (Martin) Jones of Globe, AZ and Tobie Ann Little Finger of Oglala, SD; grandsons Leeland Ten Fingers, Tyler Mackenzie Little Finger, and Michael Little Finger, all of Oglala, SD; granddaughters Jaeza Montaocean of Oklahoma City, OK and Pearly Janis of Globe, AZ; and numerous beloved relatives.
Leonard was preceded in death by parents Wallace and Pearl (Horn cloud) Little Finger; daughter Lana Ten Fingers; and numerous beloved relatives.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Leonard Anthony Little Finger.
