Funeral services for Jeffrey Lynn Curry Jr., age 33, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD with Pastor Tim Wardell officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Warren “Guss” Yellow Hair and Jonathan Long Soldier.
Burial will be at the Trinity Episcopal Cemetery in Allen, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD.
Jeffrey was born on July 26, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jeffrey Curry Sr. and Deb (Has No Horse) Bad Milk. He made his journey to the Spirit World on April 8, 2017 in Kyle, SD.
Jeffrey is survived by mother Deb Has No Horse of St. Francis, SD; stepfather Richard Bad Milk of St. Francis, SD; children Jeffrey Curry III of St. Francis, SD and Wakinyan Curry of Santee, NE; brothers Tate Curry of Sioux Falls, SD, Curtis Palmier of Rapid City, SD, Roby Wade of Martin, SD and Brian Red Bear of Lincoln, NE; sisters Lynette Has No Horse of Rapid City, SD, Leah (Bad Milk) Roberts of Omaha, NE, Lisa and Misty Palmier of Rapid City, SD, Amber Palmier of Colorado, Nakina Yellow Hair, Cassie Has No Horse, and Amy Richards, all of Allen, SD, Pearl Red Bear of Hannibal, MO and Janeen Jackson of Martin, SD; uncles Albert Curry Sr. of Kyle, SD, and Gino Curry, Elmer Sanchez and Arthur Has No Horse Jr., all of Allen, SD; aunts Wilma Colhoff of Pine Ridge, SD, Devona Lone Wolf of Martin, SD, Faith Richards of Allen, SD, Arlette Has No Horse of Wanblee, SD, Julia Has No Horse of Rapid City, SD, Tanya Priestly of New York and Mari Curry of Las Vegas, NV; grandfather Arthur Has No Horse Sr. of Yellow Bear, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by father Jeffrey Curry Sr.; grandmothers Priscilla Plenty Arrows (Has No Horse) and Beatrice Cottier; grandfather Albert Curry Sr.; brothers Moses Red Bear, Arlan Bissonette, and Calvin Bissonette; and aunts Waneta Lone Wolf and Yvonne Has No Horse.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Jeffrey Lynn Curry Jr.
