MaryAnn R. Mesteth-Witt was born on April 26, 1937 in Pine Ridge, SD to Gabriel Mesteth, Sr. and Sarah Her Horse Red Horn.  Mary made her journey to the Spirit World on April 20, 2017 at her home in Pine Ridge, SD.

Mary is survived by her children, Rhea Mora and Bryan Deans, both of Slimbuttes, SD, Fred Lawrence of Springfield, SD, and Michael Lawrence, Rob Lawrence, John Witt, Kelly Witt and Julianna Lawrence, all of Pine Ridge, SD; siblings, Lynette Murray of Parmalee, SD, Gilbert Mesteth of Slimbuttes, SD, Ruth Gray Horse of Fayetteville, NC, Phillip Mesteth, Sr. of Ethete, WY and Denise Mesteth of Fayetteville, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel Mesteth, Sr. and Sarah Her Horse Red Horn; husband, Sidney Thomas Witt; and siblings, Wilmer Mesteth, Daniel Mesteth, Gabriel Mesteth Jr., Theresa Mesteth and Orlin Mesteth.

Wake Services:  One night wake starting at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD

Funeral Services:  10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD

Officiating:  Fr. Chris Johnson, S.J.
