Funeral services for Makoce Wakan Hacker, age 20 weeks gestational age, will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Pass Creek Church of God in Allen, SD with Pastor Tim Wardell and Pastor Kim Wardell officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Justin Poor Bear.
Burial will be at the Allen Community Cemetery in Allen, SD.
Makoce, stillborn infant son of Tasina Hacker, was born and passed away on April 12, 2017 at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Makoce is survived by mother Tasina Hacker of Allen, SD; grandparents Edward Hacker of Deadwood, SD and Holly Quinn and Elaine Matotamahece of Allen, SD; great-grandparents Bob Hacker of Rapid City, SD, Mary Hacker of Sunnyvale, CA and Clara Garcia of Allen, SD; great-great-grandfather Bill Hacker of Hot Springs, SD; and aunts and uncles Arrow Hacker and Tyra Quinn of Allen, SD and Amaya and Jevon Hacker of Manderson, SD.
Makoce was preceded in death by brother Zachary Hacker; grandmother Bobbi K. Poor Bear-Hacker; and grandfather Christopher Hacker.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Makoce Wakan Hacker.
