Funeral services for Aaron James Brown Bear, age 78, will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Batesland School Gymnasium in Batesland, SD with Reverend Rhoda Mesteth officiating.
Burial services will be announced.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Batesland School Gymnasium in Batesland, SD.
Aaron was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He was born on February 6, 1941 in Allen, SD to Edgar Brown Bear and Nancy (Young Dog) Brown Bear. He made his journey to the Spirit World on March 14, 2018 at the AveraMcKennanHospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Aaron is survived by brother Harold Brown Bear Sr. of Allen, SD; nieces and nephews Harold Brown Bear Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Winona Brown Bear of Minnesota, Nancy Brown Bear and Harolyn “Faye” Brown Bear of Allen, SD, Jamie Brown Bear of Sioux Falls, SD, Oliver Brown Bear of Allen, SD, Leah Brown Bear and Dorothy Brown Bear of Batesland, SD, and Tera Brown Bear of Ketchum, OK; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Aaron was preceded in death by parents Edgar and Nancy Brown Bear; brothers Ryan Brown Bear, Sidney Brown Bear, and Joseph Brown Bear; sister Jessie (Brown Bear) Conquering Bear; and nephew Sidney Brown Bear.
