Funeral services for Karla Fayette Elk Boy, age 33, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Batesland, SD with Father Ed Hunt and Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Rick Grey Grass.
Burial will be at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Sharp’s Corner, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Batesland, SD.
Karla was born on August 3, 1984 in Gordon, NE to Carl Elk Boy and Jeanette (Yellow Hair) Domingo. She made her journey to the Spirit World on March 16, 2018 at Rapid CityRegionalHospital in Rapid City, SD.
Karla is survived by mother Jeanette (Yellow Hair) Domingo; father Carl Elk Boy; sons Vincent and Jeremiah Eagle Elk; sisters Rolanda White Butterfly, Karlette Yellow Hair, Patricia Domingo, Carlene Elk Boy, Adeline Elk Boy, and Carly Elk Boy; and brothers Damien Domingo and Jonathan Yellow Boy.
Karla was preceded in death by grandparents Nelson Elk Boy, Christine (Grass) Elk Boy, Leo Yellow Hair, and Almarie (Two Lance) Yellow Hair; and cousins Reginald White Bull and William Yellow Hair.
