A Mass of Christian Burial for Jessica Arna Bad Wound, age 7 Months and 6 Days, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Father Ron Seminara officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Hawkeye Montileaux and Sundown Montileaux.
Burial will be at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Rosary Services starting at 7:00 PM.
Jessica was born on August 16, 2017 in Rapid City, SD to Jesse Elk and Katheena Bad Wound. She made her journey to the Spirit World on March 22, 2018 near Wounded Knee, SD.
Jessica is survived by mother Katheena Bad Wound; grandparents Hannah Clifford and Austin and Lisa Watkins; great-grandparents Marvin and Linda Bad Wound; hunka grandparents Bill and Jonnie Clifford; sisters Lainey White Hawk, Jayden Bad Wound, and Alicen Ferguson; brothers Jesse Elk and Lante Elk; uncles David LaDeaux, Dorrian Clifford, Wade Vocu, Austin Watkins Jr., Matthew Watkins Sr., Byron Head, Joseph Elk, Maurice Elk Jr. and Renzel Watkins; and aunties Crystal Bad Wound, Melinda Bad Wound, Kelley Pourier, Phyllis (Cory) Watkins-Vrooman, Delilah Watkins, Ashley Elk, and Wilma Watkins.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Jessica Arna Bad Wound.
