Keith passed away on April 2, 2018 at Chadron Community Hospital in Chadron, NE surrounded by his family. He was born on August 27, 1948 in Burlington, Colorado. 

 

Keith was born on August 27, 1948 in Burlington, CO to Lonnie and Helga Gregory. Shortly after his birth, the family moved back to Nebraska to live and work on the family farm 16 miles south of Chadron. The youngest of four children and the only son, Keith learned how to love and work the land. He bought the farm from his dad in 1978, where he farmed until the fall of 2017.

 

He met the love of his life, Jenny Strong, in the fall of 1966 and on May 28, 1970, they were married. They were blessed with a daughter, Jean, and a son, Andy. Keith was promoted to the status of Papa in 2007. His five grandchildren were his pride and joy.

 

Keith continued to work the farm and work at Safeway. After 43 years, Keith retired from Safeway in 2014. Keith and Jenny took the opportunity to spend more time with grandchildren. They embarked on adventures in the continental US and bigger trips to the Caribbean, Alaska, and Ireland. 

 

Keith is preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Allen. He is survived by wife Jenny; children Jean (Matt) Featherngill and Andy (Misty) Gregory; grandchildren Kennin, Paige, Graecyn, and Briley Featherngill and Jake Schell; and sisters Judy (Don) Pinkerton and Marilyn Straight.
