Funeral service for Talbert Lee Fast Horse, age 62, will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Church of the Nazarene near Wounded Knee, SD with Alex Bad Bear III officiating.
Burial will be at the Fast Horse Family Cemetery near Wounded Knee, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Church of the Nazarene near Wounded Knee, SD.
Talbert Lee Fast Horse was born on September 8, 1955 to Joseph Fast Horse Sr. and Anna Broken Rope in Pine Ridge, SD. He made his journey to the Spirit World on April 4, 2018 at the PineRidgeI.H.S.Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Talbert is survived by children LaToya Blacksmith, Crystal Fast Horse and Shiloh Bailey, all of Pine Ridge, SD, Denise Lewis of Newfield, NY, Robin Fast Horse of Glendale, AZ, Austin Larvie of Wanblee, SD, and Tabitha Fast Horse of Box Elder, SD; siblings Cecelia Spotted Bear of Wounded Knee, SD, Patricia (William) Fast Horse-Cross of Gordon, NE, Darrell (Eileen) Fast Horse of Pine Ridge, SD, and Geraldine (Joseph) Fast Horse-Valandra of Pine Ridge, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and cousins.
Talbert was preceded in death by parents Joseph Fast Horse Sr. and Anna Broken Rope; sons Brandon Fast Horse and Jesse Sitting Hawk; siblings Joseph Fast Horse Jr., Arlene Valandra and Violet Fast Horse; and grandparents Thomas Fast Horse, Mary Breaks Land, Joseph Broken Rope and Lucy Black Bear.
