04/14/2018 - Lolita Rose Mesteth *New Date*

Funeral services for Lolita Rose Mesteth “Wacin Umpi Win,” age 34, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, SD with Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Wakinyan Sna Mani.
 
Burial will be at St. Alban’s Episcopal Cemetery in Evergreen, SD.
 
A two-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, SD with evening services held at 7:00 PM each night of the wake service.
  
Lolita was born on November 13, 1983 to Matthew Mesteth Jr. and Brenda Mercado. She made her journey to the Spirit World on April 8, 2018 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
 
Lolita is survived by mother Brenda Mercado of Porcupine, SD; stepfather Manuel White Face of Porcupine, SD; significant other Jason Jake Brave Heart; children Lola Gould, Audrina Brave Heart and Katerina Brave Heart, all of Rapid City, SD; siblings Arvene Comes Killing of Porcupine, SD, Lola Mercado and Cindy Mesteth of Rapid City, SD, Tamara Jon Mesteth of Tennessee, Matthew Mesteth III of Porcupine, SD, Blaine Kills Back of Porcupine, SD, Mike Respects Nothing of Manderson, SD, Timothy White Dress of Kyle, SD, Misty Mesteth of Browning, MT and Leo Kills Back of Porcupine, SD; special uncle Donnie Mesteth Sr.; special aunt Lolita Sna Mani of Pine Ridge, SD; and grandmother Georgia Tail of Porcupine, SD.
 
Lolita was preceded in death by father Matthew Mesteth Jr.; two children (twin angels); grandparents Cecelia White Dress-Frasier and Matthew Mesteth Sr.; and uncles Jeffrey Tail, Tyrone Mesteth, Dean Andrews, and Terrance Mesteth.
