Funeral services for 18-year old Raelee Dawn Martinez with be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 10:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD, with Rev. Cordelia Red Owl officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Rick Grey Grass.

Burial services will be at St Mary Magdalene’s Catholic Cemetery in Rockyford, SD

A 2-night wake services will start Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 2:00 PM also at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic in Kyle.

Raelee Dawn Martinez was born on February 4, 2000 in Pine Ridge, SD, and passed away on May 2, 2018 in Marty, SD

Raelee attended school at Rockyford School, Pine Ridge High School, and Marty Indian School. She loved to play guitar, draw, and shoot archery, participated in hand games and knowledge bowl, and was also part of the 500 Mile Sacred Hoop Run for 10 years.

Raelee was very talented in everything she did and loved spending time with her grandparents, Molbay, Sr. and Mary Martinez. 

Raelee is survived by her mother, Freda Martinez of Kyle, SD; Ate’, Jesse White Face of Kyle, SD; siblings, Thomas White Elk, Jacob White Face, Jessie White Face, and Morgan Janis all of Kyle, SD; hunka mother, Sharon Martinez of Kyle, SD; hunka father, Conan Janis of Kyle, SD; hunka siblings, Santana Janis, Antwain Janis, Savannah Janis, Chamiqua Janis, Aly Martinez, and Margo Martinez all of Kyle, SD; special auntie, Marilu Martinez of Kyle, SD; grandparents, Dennis, Sr. (Audrey) Martinez of Oglala, SD; Molbay, Sr. and Mary Martinez, Joyce & Didier DuPont-Little Whiteman, Lorna & Marvin Apple all of Kyle, SD.

Raelee was preceded in death by her great grandfather, Raymond Martinez
