Mass of Christian Burial for 58-year old Fredrick Allen Pond will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., and Mr. Charles McGaa officiating.

Burial services will be at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, S.D.

A one-night wake service will be held Wednesday, May 9, at 4:00 PM also at Sacred Heart Catholic with Rosary Services starting at 7:00 PM.

Fredrick was born on June 28, 1959 in Pine Ridge, SD to Irving and Alberta (Ruff) Pond. He passed away on May 5, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Fred is survived by parents, Irving “Bud” and Alberta “Bobbie” (Ruff) Pond of Pine Ridge, SD; daughter, Ashley (Dan) Brehmer of Rushville, NE; siblings, Willy (Randi) Pond, Ron “Popcorn” (Andrea) Pond, Luke Pond, and Tricia Pond all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Greg Pond of Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Fred was preceded in death by brother, Irving “JR” Pond; grandmothers, Arta Carlow, Louise Ruff, and Thelma Bettelyoun; hunka mother, Pearl Dixon; and nephew, Greg Pond Jr.
