Funeral services for Samantha Paige Bear Robe, age 20, will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Ed Hunt officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Dave Swallow and RJ Fisherman.
Burial will be at the Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD.
Samantha was born on January 11, 1998 in Pine Ridge, SD to Sam and Jeannie (Waters) Bear Robe. She made her journey to the Spirit World on May 14, 2018 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Samantha is survived by parents Sam and Jeannie Bear Robe of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters Kristiene Bear Robe, Krystal Bear Robe, and Kaycee Bear Robe, all of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Samuel Bear Robe Jr., Antoine Bear Robe, and Selam Beham, all of Pine Ridge, SD; grandparents Bonita Andrews, Louise Pulliam, Marlin and Alice Hawk Wing, and Henny Whalen, all of Pine Ridge, SD, Ronald Fisherman and Sonya DuBray of Rapid City, SD, and Karen Red Elk of Porcupine, SD; great-grandmother Georgia Tail of Porcupine, SD; cousins Angel and Alex Red Cloud, Anthony Beham, Adam Red Cloud, Will Apple, and RJ Bissonette, all of Pine Ridge, SD; aunts Jessie Waters and Antonia Blue Bird of Pine Ridge, SD, Ruby Waters of Kansas City, MO, and Melanie Waters of Rapid City, SD; uncles Josh Bissonette and Justin Hawk Wing of Pine Ridge, SD; and significant other Amber Adams of Pine Ridge, SD.
Samantha was preceded in death by grandparents Andrew Bear Robe Sr., Maurice and Deloris Waters, Malcolm and Elijah Hawk Wing, Lavern Hawk Wing, and Georgelene Hawk Wing.
