There will not be a funeral for Gary “Spur” Hawley, age 51, of Chadron, NE per his request. There will be a visitation service from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, NE to show respects and say condolences and goodbyes.
A celebration of life will be held at Lake McConaughy on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Contact the family for details.

Spur passed away on May 18, 2018 at his home in Chadron, NE after battling cancer for two years. He was born on September 29, 1966 in Traverse City, MI.
Spur spent his life ranching, driving a semi truck, riding his Harley, fishing, gambling and just outright enjoying life. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends.
Spur will forever be remembered by wife Darlene of 25 years; son Dean Hawley; parents Dean and Lorraine Hawley; brothers Robert Barrera, Patrick Hawley, Ray Dreher, and Jeff Hawley; sisters Christina Hill and Deana Spears; grandchildren Mia Hawley and Kade Garza; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, and lots of life-long friends.
Spur was preceded in death by son Shaun Hawley, nephew Walker Barrera, and sister Suzannah Hawley.
