Funeral services for Christopher Earl Coleman, age 34, will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Porcupine Elderly Meals Building in Porcupine, SD with Pastor Matt Hadden and Reverend Don Mink officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Santee Witt.
Cremation will follow funeral services.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Porcupine Elderly Meals Building with evening services starting at 6:00 PM.
Christopher was born on September 11, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Wilson Sr. and Ella (White Bull) Coleman. He made his journey to the Spirit World on May 24, 2018 in Bridgeport, NE.
Christopher is survived by spouse Shawna Coleman of Bayard, NE; parents Wilson Sr. and Ella Coleman of Porcupine, SD; children Cheyenne Coleman of Worthington, MN, Hailey and Tony Flying Hawk of Rapid City, SD; stepchildren Weston Mesteth of Greeley, CO, Shawn Mesteth of Fort Collins, CO, Sharla Mason of Cheyenne, WY, and Henry Mason of Bridgeport, NE; brothers Wilson Coleman Jr. of Rapid City, SD and Maurice Coleman and Clifton “CJ” Coleman of Porcupine, SD; hunka brothers Brandon Beagley and David Hamblin of Provo, UT; sisters Tisha Marroquin of Schuyler, NE, Trisha Coleman of Porcupine, SD, Tracy Coleman of Sells, AZ, Jessie Schicky of Baytown, TX, and Dotti Witt of Porcupine, SD; and hunka sisters Delynn Tally of Provo, UT, Zady Brown Bull of Kyle, SD, and Danielle Red Bear of Allen, SD.
Christopher was preceded in death by brother Cory Coleman; nephews Isaac Jumping Eagle and Darrell Brown Thunder-Coleman; nieces Freedom and Leah Coleman; uncle Darrell White Crane Walking; grandparents Melvin White Face, Levi White Bull, Annie White Bull, and Jim and Helen Crowe.
