Funeral services for Carol Dotson, age 78, will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, NE.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron, NE.
Carol passed away on June 24, 2018 at her home in Chadron, NE. She was born on July 11, 1940 in Torrington, WY to Samuel and Myrtle (Bramwell) Matlock. She married Roger Dotson on May 27, 1962. They raised four children, Don, Robi, Tank, and Mike. Amongst raising her four children, Carol also gave her love and compassion to other children for whom she provided care. Carol loved her family dearly. She was a lifelong lover of animals, especially their beloved dog Spanky. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her immense happiness throughout her life.
She is survived by husband Roger; sister Jan Maiden of Lake Havasu, AZ; children Don (Tami) Dotson of Chadron, NE, Robi (Mike) Apland of Spearfish SD, Tank (Cyrinthia) Dotson of Omaha, NE, and Mike (Susan) Dotson of Rapid City, SD; and nine grandchildren Kendra Apland, Jenni Barenberg, Marissa Apland, Eric Dotson, Amanda Dotson, Jack Dotson, Ethan Dotson, Sam Dotson, and Garrett Dotson.
