06/30/2018 - Fred 'Buzzy' Howard Ferguson
A Mass of Christian Burial for Fred “Buzzy” Howard Ferguson, age 78, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church near Kyle, SD with Father Ron Seminara, S.J., officiating.
Burial will be at St. Barbara’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church near Kyle, SD with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM at the church.
Fred was born on October 26, 1939 in Pine Ridge, SD to John “Johnny” and Alice (Clifford) Ferguson. He passed away on June 23, 2018 at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Fred is survived by spouse Kay (Bettelyoun) Ferguson of Kyle, SD; daughters Debbie (Alwin) Ferguson and Lesa Ferguson of Kyle, SD; sons Ted (Annie) Ferguson, Kelly Ferguson, and Danny (Deloris) Ferguson, all of Kyle, SD; sisters Carolyn Janis, Marilyn Puckett, Ellen Cuny, and Theresa Ferguson, all of Kyle, SD; 22 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by parents Johnny and Alice Ferguson; son Fred Howard Ferguson Jr.; daughter Laura Ferguson; brothers Franklin “Sonny” Ferguson, John “Bud” Ferguson, and Leonard “Boob” Ferguson; sister Ethlyn Hunter; and grandchildren Nicole Beth, Dianne, Danny Jr., December, Gilvern, and Jesse Ferguson Jr., and two grandchildren in infancy.
Pallbearers will be Lynx Bettelyoun, Wade Cuny, Lance Christenson, Owen Ferguson, Lisa Ann Ferguson, Gerard Janis, Pete Janis, James Ferguson, Johnny Hernandez, Rodger Keester, and Willie Ferguson.
