Funeral services for Philomena Lorna Iron Boy “Sinte Sapa Tahca Win” (Black Tail Deer Woman), age 39, will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, SD with Father Ed Hunt and Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating. Traditional Lakota services are To Be Announced.
Burial will be at St. Alban’s Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A two-night wake service will start at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Philomena was born on December 4, 1978 in Pine Ridge, SD to Wyolin and Brenda (Jealous) Iron Boy. She made her journey to the Spirit World on July 5, 2018 at the I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Philomena is survived by siblings Wyola New Holy, Weldon Spotted Eagle Sr., and Lonnie Iron Boy; hunka daughter Marlee Randall; hunka son Jerome Apple; friend and her daughter Jaimie Fast Wolf and Jasmine Fast Wolf; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and hunka sisters.
Philomena was preceded in death by parents Wyolin and Brenda Iron Boy and brother Wyolin Iron Boy Jr.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Spotted Eagle, Stewart Sanders, Eldon Black Bull, Griffin Cross, Dean Rouillard, and Ivan Fast Wolf.
