Funeral services for Kierra Lou Leeds, age 1, will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Bernard and Christine Red Cloud Residence, Old Sundance Grounds in Pine Ridge, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Spiritual Leader Darrell Red Cloud.
Burial will be at the Ancient Native American Church Cemetery in Denby, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Bernard and Christine Red Cloud Residence, Old Sundance Grounds in Pine Ridge, SD with an ANAC Ceremony being held on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
Kierra was born on July 18, 2017 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jerri Lynn Cottier and Krasean Leeds. She made her journey to the Spirit World on August 4, 2018 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Kierra is survived by parents Jerri Lynn Cottier and Krasean Leeds of Pine Ridge, SD; grandparents Robert Leeds of Pine Ridge, SD, Tami Stone of Rapid City, SD, Rose Cottier and Clifford Grass of Pine Ridge, SD; sister Claire Jean Cottier of Pine Ridge, SD; great-grandmother Charlotte Red Cloud of Pine Ridge, SD; aunties and uncles Ferrell Thunder Hawk of Sioux Falls, SD, Nia and Ashley Thunder Hawk of Rapid City, SD, Josie Leeds of Wounded Knee, SD, Germaine Garnier of Oglala, SD, Timothy Red Cloud of Pine Ridge, SD, and Jeanine Cottier of Pine Ridge, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
Kierra was preceded in death by great-grandparents Bernard Sr. and Christine Red Cloud; grandfather Bernard Alfred Red Cloud Jr.; great-grandparents Bert and Marcella (Flying Hawk) Cottier, Bernice and Chester Stone; cousins Hayden Thunder Hawk, Victor Grass, and Prince Bagola; uncle Donald Grass; aunt Lori Ann Cottier; and great-uncle Ted Red Cloud.
