Funeral services for Sedona Grace Brings, age 60, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Jerome LeBeau.
Burial will be at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with vigil services starting at 7:00 PM at the Church Hall.
Sedona was born on August 3, 1958 in Pine Ridge, SD to Owen and Celeste (Clown Horse) Brings. She made her journey to the Spirit World on September 3, 2018 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Sedona is survived by daughter Kim Brings-Looking Elk of Rushville, NE; sister Harriet Brings of Rapid City, SD; brothers Thomas Brings and Brian Running Horse of Pine Ridge, SD; nieces Janelle (Tony) Hawk Wing and Nicole (Robin) Hawk Wing of Pine Ridge, SD and Ailine Maea of Rapid City, SD; nephews Robert (Reena) Patton of Slim Buttes, SD and Eric Gonzales of Scottsbluff, NE; and grandchildren Logan, Elisha and Celeste Merdanian, Jojo Condon, Michael Looking Elk, Elise and Robert Patton Jr., and Owen Patton.
Sedona was preceded in death by parents Owen and Celeste Brings; sisters Sandra Brings and Linda Patton; and brothers Joseph Brings and Bradford Brings.
