10/07/2018 - Lionel Duane Little
Funeral services for Lionel Duane Little, age 58, will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD with Elder Donovan Youngman officiating and a special thank you to Elder Madeline Terry.
Burial will be at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery on Lakeside Road in Oglala, SD.
Visitation services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD.
Lionel was born on December 2, 1959 in Pine Ridge, SD to Thomas and Grace (Patton) Little. He made his journey to the Spirit World on October 3, 2018 at Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.
Lionel loved sports; if it had a ball, he loved it. Lionel could always be found watching the latest sports broadcast, and he was a very adamant Minnesota Vikings Fan. He grew up in Rapid City, SD and Iona, ID. He worked as a printer in Salt Lake City, UT before he returned to Rapid City and worked as a delivery truck driver for the local furniture stores in Rapid City. Lionel ended his last job with At Home Furniture where he was treated very well by his fellow colleagues. Lionel loved to travel. Visiting England, Sweden, and the Hawaiian Islands, he enjoyed traveling. Lionel just loved to eat, enjoying food with friends and family.
Lionel was truly a gentle soul and was a very humble man who will be greatly missed by his entire family and everyone who knew him and will forever be a cherished and beloved brother by his siblings.
Lionel is survived by siblings Violet (Kurt) Blue Dog of Wayzata, MN, Gloria Little of Denver, CO, Emma (Dick) Neztsosie of Shiprock, NM, Colleen (Lance) Hanson of Rapid City, SD, David Little of Oklahoma City, OK, Sherwood Little of Cherokee, NC, Debbie Little of Idleyld Park, OR, Lori Little of Denver, CO, Donna (Jose) Garzon of St. Paul, MN, and Larry Little of Watertown, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Lionel was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Grace Little and siblings Sherwood Little, Darlene Little, twin sisters Deloris Darlene Little and Darlene Deloris Little, and Steve Little.
