A Mass of Christian Burial for Marvin Wayne Stoldt Jr., age 54, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., and Carol LaDeaux officiating.
Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM at the church.
Marvin was a veteran in the U.S. Army.
Marvin was born on July 14, 1964 in Pine Ridge, SD to Marvin Sr. and Rita (Her Many Horses) Stoldt. He passed away on October 4, 2018 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
Marvin is survived by children Dalone and Sinead Pogoree of Fort Washakie, WY; father Marvin Stoldt Sr. of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters Charmaine Stoldt of Pine Ridge, SD, Candy Johnson of Salol, MN, and Patti Stoldt-Hill, April Stoldt, and Emily Stoldt, all of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Frank Stoldt of Fargo, ND, Cameron Stoldt of Oglala, SD, and Ray Stoldt of Pine Ridge, SD; uncle Michael Her Many Horses of Wounded Knee, SD; and 9 grandchildren.
Marvin was preceded in death by mother Rita Stoldt and brother Richard Stoldt.
