Funeral services for James Frank Jealous of Him, age 42, will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Church of God in Wounded Knee, SD with Pastor Stanley Hollow Horn and Reverend Harold Eagle Bull. Traditional Lakota service will be provided by Greg Ross.
Burial will be at Johnson Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Church of God in Wounded Knee, SD.
James was born on June 15, 1976 in Pine Ridge, SD to Everette Jealous of Him Sr. and Vina Bear Eagle. He made his journey to the Spirit World on October 8, 2018 at his home in Wounded Knee, SD.
James is survived by brothers Everette Jealous of Him II, Darcy Jealous of Him, and Darrell Bear Eagle, all of Wounded Knee, SD; sisters Heather Red Cloud and Santana Bear Eagle of Wounded Knee, SD; grandmother Flora Jealous of Him of Kyle, SD; uncle Christopher Jealous of Him of Victorville, CA; grandchildren Jerrick, Tyrell, Dreyson, Aleena, and Riley; nieces and nephews Katie, Marlene, Angie, Anthony, Dustin, Darwin, Jeffrey, Kendra, Julia, Oceanna, Kamarae, Everette III, Vine, Mercy, Oyate, John Jr., Skyler, Eva, Devin, Justice, and Jake; stepfather Duane Richard of Martin, SD; and special friend Latonna Waters of Wounded Knee, SD.
James was preceded in death by parents Everette and Vina (Bear Eagle) Jealous of Him and grandparents James Bear Eagle, Mary Hollow Horn-Bear Eagle, Oscar Jealous of Him Sr., Hazel Blue Bird, Caroline Iron Horse, and Solomon Bear Eagle.
