10/20/2018 - Alvin Lee Little Dog
Funeral services for Alvin Lee Little Dog, age 59, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Michael Carlow Jr.
Burial will be at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Manderson, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson with prayer services starting at 7:00 PM.
Alvin was born on February 24, 1959 in Pine Ridge, SD to Joseph Little Dog Sr. and Mary Black Bear. He made his journey to the Spirit World on October 11, 2018 in Gordon, NE.
Alvin is survived by father Joseph (Janice) Little Dog Sr. of Manderson, SD; brothers William “Bill” Little Dog, Ronald Little Dog, Joseph M. Little Dog Jr., and Derek Little Dog, all of Manderson, SD, and Jeffrey Little Dog of Rosebud, SD; sisters Mona Little Dog of Kyle, SD and June Little Dog of Porcupine, SD; and aunt Betty Little Dog of Manderson, SD.
Alvin was preceded in death by wife Edna Little Dog; mother Mary Black Bear; brother Myron Little Dog; sister Carol Little Dog; aunts Pam Little Dog and Madeline Bissonette; uncle Robert Little Dog Sr.; and grandparents William and Fanny Little Dog and Antoine and Christine Black Bear.
Pallbearers will be Garfield Steele, Eldwin Little Dog, John Steele Jr., William Steele, Vance Little Dog, Terrance Little Dog, Rudolph Bissonette Jr., Phillip Bissonette Sr., Craig Yankton, and Dave Lovejoy.
