Funeral services for Anna Maria Hollow Horn, age 48, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Church of God in Wounded Knee, SD with Pastor Stanley Hollow Horn and Brother Don Mink officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Mike Little Boy Sr.
Burial will be at Johnson Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Church of God in Wounded Knee, SD.
Anna Maria Hollow Horn was born on May 25, 1970 in Pine Ridge, SD to Bernice Sun Bear and Glendale Hollow Horn. She made her journey to the Spirit World on October 15, 2018 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO.
Anna is survived by mother Bernice Sun Bear of Alliance, NE; special friend Gilbert Matoya Sr. of Walsenburg, CO; children Jeffrey Hollow Horn and Shawn Hollow Horn of Alliance, NE, Kayla Lamont and Chase Lamont of Rapid City, SD, and Gilbert Matoya of Walsenburg, CO; sister Gwendolyn Hollow Horn of Alliance, NE; brothers Ronnie Sun Bear-DuBray of Lincoln, NE, Ricky Simeon of Alliance, NE, Dale Hollow Horn and Maurice Hollow Horn of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren Adrianna, Aurora, Jordan, Trevone, Daniel, Raymond, Josiah, and Isaiah; uncles Sterling Hollow Horn of Boston, MA, Daniel Wounded Arrow of Rapid City, SD, William Wounded Arrow of Scottsbluff, NE, James Hollow Horn Sr. of Pine Ridge, SD, and Johnny High Hawk of Wounded Knee, SD; and aunts Linda Hollow Horn, Bernadette Hollow Horn, Phyllis Hollow Horn, Mary Hollow Horn-Bull Bear, Elizabeth Hollow Horn-Yellow Horse, Deloris Hollow Horn, Sharon Hollow Horn, and Alva Hollow Horn-Forney, all of Wounded Knee, SD, Belva Hollow Horn-Emery of Rapid City, SD, Isabelle Hollow Horn-Bell of Riverton, WY, Joann Little Moon of Martin, SD, and Velma Hollow Horn-Wounded Arrow of Rapid City, SD.
Anna was preceded in death by father Glendale Hollow Horn; siblings Cynthia Hollow Horn and Glen Hollow Horn Jr.; uncles Albert Hollow Horn and Stanley “Billy” Hollow Horn; and aunts Lorraine Sun Bear-Pourier, Lorene Hollow Horn, and Velma Hollow Horn-Lamont.
