Funeral services for Roy Dale Old Horse “Sung Wacogla Yumni Awicapsica” (Jumped Off Three Wild Horses), age 51, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall in Kyle, SD with Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Austin Last Horse and Gayle Last Horse.
Burial will be at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
ne-night wake service will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Roy was born on April 28, 1967 in Pine Ridge, SD to Oliver Old Horse Sr. and Ruth Charging Crow. He made his journey to the Spirit World on October 26, 2018 at Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.
Roy is survived by sisters Marilyn Old Horse, Mabel (Dale) One Horn, Rhoda Janis, and Wilma Old Horse, all of Kyle, SD; brothers Floyd Old Horse and Robert Old Horse of Kyle, SD; hunka brothers Myron Heathershaw and Alan Reddy; hunka sister Bonnie Ghost Bear; and numerous grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by father Oliver Old Horse Sr.; mother Ruth Charging Crow; brother Oliver Old Horse Jr.; sister Constance Old Horse; and nieces Deanna Reddest and Delana One Horn.
