Funeral services for Stephen Kills Enemy At Night, age 81, will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD with Curtis Hoyt and Sister Giovanna Wasicuna officiating.
Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Slimbuttes, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 3:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Stephen was born on March 2, 1937 in Pine Ridge, SD to Noah Kills Enemy At Night and Lucinda (Iron Heart) Kills Enemy At Night. He made his journey to the Spirit World on November 13, 2018 at the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home in Rushville, NE.
Stephen is survived by children Victor, Purvis, Narcisse, and Dale Kills Enemy At Night; grandchildren Victor JK, Noah, Eric, Jared, and Jovanna Kills Enemy At Night and Sophia Headley; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Stephen was preceded in death by parents Noah and Lucinda Kills Enemy At Night; wife Darlene (Yellow Horse) Kills Enemy At Night; daughters Delora and Lori Ann Kills Enemy At Night; brothers William Kills Enemy At Night Sr. and Robert Kills Enemy At Night; and sisters Bertha Gatlin, Carrie Red Bear, Christine Red Cloud, Rena Black Bear, Mary Sugar Warrior and Pauline Piper.
Pallbearers will be Mark Goings, John Red Cloud Jr., Victor “Jr.” Kills Enemy, Tony Brewer, Herbert Black Bear, Jared Kills Enemy, and Frank Goings.
