A private family gathering for Merrita Chipperfield Wood will be held at a later date.
Merrita passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 in Newark, OH. She was born on December 12, 1943 in Chadron, NE and lived in western Nebraska until after graduation from Chadron State College. She then moved to California and after retirement to Ohio.
Merrita was predeceased by parents Charles and Inis Chipperfield; brothers Ernest, Glenn, and John Norman; and sisters Jowan Allen and Chloris Naylor.
She is survived by loving partner Emory Nelson; sons Matthew (Denise) Wood and Christopher (Leah) Wood; brother Michael Chipperfield; and special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
