Funeral services for George Ralph Ghost Dog Jr., age 61, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with the officiant to be announced. Traditional Lakota services are to be announced.
Burial will be at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with evening services starting at 6:00 PM.
George Jr. was born on January 30, 1957 in Gordon, NE to George R. Ghost Dog Sr. and Virginia (Brown Eyes) Ghost Dog. He passed away on December 15, 2018 at his home in Rapid City, SD.
George Jr. is survived by children Jerome Ghost Dog of Texas, Joshua and Jeremiah Vigil of Rapid City, SD and Christopher Ghost Dog of Wapato, WA; siblings Thomas Ghost Dog of Rapid City, SD, William “Billy” Ghost Dog of Hot Springs, SD, Roberta, David and Emmett Little Whiteman and Erik Grinnell Sr., all of Rapid City, SD, and Audrey Ghost Dog of Poplar, MT; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
George was preceded in death by parents George Ghost Dog Sr. and Virginia (Brown Eyes) Ghost Dog; brother John Ghost Dog; and sister Elena Grinnell.
