A Mass of Christian Burial for Daniel Louis Clifford, age 81, will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Carol LeDeaux and Father Peter Klink, S.J., officiating.
Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD. Rosary services will begin at 7:00 PM with Military Roll Call following.
Daniel was a veteran in the U.S. Navy.
Daniel was born on November 21, 1937 in Pine Ridge, SD to Daniel Webster Clifford and Edith (Pourier) Clifford. He passed away on December 27, 2018 at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Daniel is survived by wife Bernadette Clifford of Pine Ridge, SD; children Marsha Ann Clifford and Michelle (Corwin Bagola) Clifford of Pine Ridge, SD; siblings Arlene Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD, Melvin (Carol) Clifford of North Sioux City, SD, Karen Nelson of Pauma Valley, CA, Doris Thibeault of Rushville, NE, and Patti (Rick) Shangreaux of Pine Ridge, SD; and grandchildren A’Leigha Janis, Ruben Brown Jr., Lorna Clifford, Danielle Bagola, and Corwin Bagola Jr., all of Pine Ridge, SD.
Daniel was preceded in death by parents Daniel and Edith (Pourier) Clifford; son Raymond George Clifford; and siblings Rita Siderits, Myrna DuBray, Joann Clifford, Larry Clifford, Lorna Clifford, and Margaret Mary Clifford.
Pallbearers will be Richard John Brewer, Richard Lee Greenwald, Richard John Shangreaux, Larry Ray Clements, Alvin DuBray, Shawn Swallow, Daniel Michael Brewer, Charles Vernon Clifford, and Stanley Wayne Brewer.
