Memorial services for Codey E. Johnson, age 51, of Crawford, NE at 2:00 PM will be on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Crawford Community Building in Crawford, NE with Pastor Steve Mallery officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Crawford Fire and Rescue Department. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
Codey passed away on January 28, 2019 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, NE.
Codey was born on June 2, 1967 in Chadron, NE to Gordon and Sara (Speas) Johnson. He attended Crawford High School and graduated in 1987. When Codey was a sophomore in high school, he was baptized.
Codey worked as a supervisor and equipment operator for Perrett Construction out of Valentine, NE. Codey was an avid fisherman and an all around outdoorsman which he enjoyed with family, especially with his brothers Burl and Gerald. He also enjoyed the sport of rodeo. Codey made friends everywhere he went and could always be found with a smile on his face.
Codey is survived by mother Sara Johnson of Crawford, NE; sister Vickie and husband Tom Gilliam of Exeter, MO; brothers Burl and wife Ruth Johnson and Gerald and wife Maureen Johnson, all of Gering, NE; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Hanford and Voyne Johnson of Alliance, NE and Ralph and Betty Speas of Crawford, NE and father Gordon Johnson.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements for Codey E. Johnson.
