Funeral services for Darius James Red Feather, age 1, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the #9 Community Church in Manderson, SD with Thomas Jernigan officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Mike Little Boy.

Burial will be at the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Manderson, SD.

A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at #9 Community Church in Manderson, SD with a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM each night.

Darius was born on October 12, 2017 in Rapid City, SD to Amber Red Feather. He made his journey to the Spirit World on January 25, 2019 at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Darius is survived by mother Amber Red Feather of Pine Ridge, SD; brother David Red Feather of Pine Ridge, SD; uncles Donny Ghost, Anthony Red Feather, Ramone Red Feather, and Duane “Slim” Ghost, all of Manderson, SD; and grandparents Edward Red Feather of Pine Ridge, SD, and Denise Ghost and Frank and Stephanie Ghost of Manderson, SD.

Darius was preceded in death by grandparents Ramona Ghost, Yvonne Ghost, Velma Red Feather, Julie Red Feather, Delane No Neck, and Paul “Skunk” Daugherty; and uncle Darren Lee Red Feather.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Red Feather, Lavern Jack, Frank Ghost, and Lawrence Pumpkin Seed.
