Funeral services for Michelle Dawn Alexander, age 43, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Reverend Alex Bad Bear III and Reverend Cecelia Spotted Bear officiating.

Burial will be at the Red Hawk Family Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with evening prayer services starting at 7:00 PM.

Michelle was born on July 17, 1975 in Rapid City, SD to David Andrews and Leota Red Hawk. She made her journey to the Spirit World on February 14, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Michelle is survived by parents David Andrews and Leota Red Hawk of Rapid City, SD; children Davon Andrews and Jazlynn Alexander of Rapid City, SD; siblings Trina Andrews of Pine Ridge, SD, Alex Bad Bear III of Wounded Knee, SD, and Lisa Rodriguez, Crystal DuBray, Ollie DuBray, Chris Jenkins, and Joseph Jenkins of Rapid City, SD; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michelle was preceded in death by grandparents Jeanette Red Hawk, Ward Red Hawk and Eleanor Andrews; uncles Wardell and Jesse Red Hawk; and aunt Gail Red Hawk.

Pallbearers will be Duane Red Hawk, Paul Sargent, Mike Red Hawk, Sage Richard, Thomas Red Hawk, Tyrell Andrews, Lauren Big Crow, and Margaret Red Feather.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Michelle Dawn Alexander.
