Funeral services for Pauline Pearl (One Horn) Monroe “Waunsila Win,” age 67, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull, Lay Reader Mona Vocu, and Father Ed Hunt officiating.

Burial will be at the One Horn Family Cemetery three miles south of Kyle, SD.

A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.

Pauline was born on July 28, 1951 in Pine Ridge, SD to Samuel One Horn and Lucy Black Bear. She made her journey to the Spirit World on March 11, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Pauline is survived by son Lester Monroe; daughter Ketrin Monroe; grandchildren Devin Brown, Jaclyn Brown, Jeren Brown, Alessa Brown, Elsie Old Horse, Keyah Garrett, and AJ Old Horse; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by husband Gerald Monroe; parents Samuel and Lucy (Black Bear) One Horn; siblings Bertha (Garfield) Grass Rope, Willard (Mary) Kills In Water, Theresa Featherman, Bernard (Doreen) One Horn/Kills In Water, Sophie (Leo) Takes War Bonnett, Georgianna (Alvin) Has No Horse, and Melvin Kills In Water; nieces and nephews Rhoda, Lollie, Louis, Olivia, Goldie, Cleveland, Edwin, Eric, Carlita, Ray, Deloris, and Chris; grandchildren Jenny Two Crow and Ryan Featherman; great-grandchildren Brayden Duran, Gabe Standing Soldier and James Rowland; and great-great-great-granddaughter, Christina White Magpie.

Pallbearers will be Myron Ghost Dog, Duane Ghost Dog, Arlin Rowland, Daniel Crow, Billy One Horn, Charles Poor Bear, Asay Old Horse, and Kalo Garrett.

Honorary pallbearers will be all her friends and relatives.
