03/25/2019 - Fredrick Joseph LaDeaux Jr.

Funeral services for Fredrick Joseph LaDeaux Jr., age 53, will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Pastor TJ Jernigan officiating. Traditional Lakota Services Are To Be Announced.

Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.

Fredrick Jr. was born on November 19, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Fredrick Joseph LaDeaux Sr. and Florence Janis. He made his journey to the Spirit World on March 18, 2019 in Rapid City, SD.

Fred grew up in Pine Ridge, SD and Rapid City, SD and attended school in Pine Ridge and Rapid City. He went to Job Corps in Montana and successfully completed with a Mason Certificate. Fred worked as a concrete construction worker, road worker, and bridge worker. He also enjoyed working on cars; he was a very respectful, caring, and loving man with a good sense of humor. Fred had many friends, and he loved all of his children with all of his heart. He had a close relationship with his brothers and a strong bond with his mother. Fred loved helping his mother any chance he could. He was his children’s best friend and always wanted to be with his kids; he was a great man and will be greatly missed by all.

Fred is survived by mother Florence Janis of Rapid City, SD; brothers James LaDeaux Sr., Loren (Sheila) LaDeaux Sr., Mervin LaDeaux, and David (Teresa) Red Cloud Sr., all of Rapid City, SD, Sam (Lisa) LaDeaux of Denver, CO, John “Cakes” LaDeaux of Rushville, NE, and Hobert Yankton of Manderson, SD; sisters Sis Mousseaux of Rapid City, SD, RoseAnne LaDeaux of Pine Ridge, SD, Colleen Steele of Manderson, SD, and Freda (Andrew) Cottier of Manderson, SD; children Zach Andrews and Beau Andrews of Bonesteel, SD, Cassandra Wright, Trey Wright III, Latoya Wright, and Trevor LaDeaux, all of Rapid City, SD, and Kayla Twiss of Martin, SD; and 8 grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by father Fred LaDeaux Sr.; brother Gene LaDeaux; maternal grandparents Elfreda Richard-Janis and Dave Janis; and paternal grandparents Eugene LaDeaux and Bessie Kills Small-LaDeaux.

Pallbearers will be Louis Duane Martin, Josh Steele, Zach Andrews, Trey Wright, Dave LaDeaux, Loren LaDeaux Jr., Vince Martin, Harry John Steele, Beau Andrews, and Trevor LaDeaux.
