Funeral services for 60-year old Gilbert Phillip Good Shield Sr will be Monday, April 1, 2019, at 2:00 at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, S.D, with Pastor David Lays Bad officiating

Burial services will be at the Lakota Gospel Mennonite Church Cemetery in Porcupine.

A one-night wake service will be held Sunday, March 31, at the Porcupine School Gym beginning at 12:30 with evening services starting at 7:00 pm.

Gilbert Phillip Good Shield, Sr. was born on September 21, 1958 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alphonso Good Shield, Sr. and Amelia Bitters. Gilbert made his journey to the Spirit World on March 24, 2019 at the I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.

Gilbert, Sr. is survived by his wife, Lillian (White Face) Good Shield; daughter, Gailene Good Shield; and son-in-law, Andrew Cortier.

Gilbert, Sr. was preceded in death by his children, Brian George White Face, Gilbert Good Shield, Jr., Carlene & Sharlene Good Shield, Michael David Good Shield, William Hobart Good Shield and Baby Boy Good Shield.

Pallbearers will be: Colin Condon, Jr., Brian Terold, Andrew Cortier, Eldon Steele, Jr., Diggo White Face, Stacy Cortier, Larry Bear Killer, and Robyn Condon.
