05/18/2019 - Dixie (Richardson/Schaupp) Moody

A celebration of life for Dixie (Richardson/Schaupp) Moody will be from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Crawford Eagles Club in Crawford, NE. Individuals are invited to come share any photos and/or memories they have with Dixie’s friends and family.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society. Condolences and donations may be sent to Dixie’s daughter Debra Schaupp, 105 Ash Street, Crawford, NE 69339.

Dixie passed away at her home in Crawford on April, 10, 2019. She was born on July 12, 1937 in Scottsbluff, NE to Albert and Maude (Kellums) Richardson.

She graduated from Hay Springs High School in 1954.

She worked for many years as an administrator, starting at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, NE and later at Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, NE until she retired in 1998. After retiring, she worked at the Fort Robinson office for a few years.

Dixie is survived by daughter Debra Schaupp; son Steven (Opal) Schaupp; grandsons James Schaupp and Rusty (Melinda) Schaupp; three great-grandchildren; nieces Judy Potter and Diane (Mark) Worker; nephew Dwayne (Linda) Weyers; and foster daughter Betty (Randy) Turman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Herbert Moody; and sister Wanda "June" Weyers.
