A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Eugene Zimiga Sr., age 83, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD with Father Ed Witt, S.J., and Prairie Rose DuBray officiating.

Burial will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.

Visitation services will start at 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.

Robert was born on April 28, 1936 in Pine Ridge, SD to Robert and Louise (DuBray) Zimiga. made his journey to the Spirit World on May 7, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Robert is survived by children JD Smith of Coates, NC, Regena (Sean) Zimiga-Martin and Angela Zimiga of San Antonio, TX, and Robert Zimiga Jr.; brothers Charles Zimiga of Pine Ridge, SD and Arthur Zimiga of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren Danita Zimiga, DJ Johnson, Andre Martin, Aaron Martin, Jordan Zimiga, Jaden Reyna, and Robert Zimiga III; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by parents Robert and Louise (DuBray) Zimiga and sister Vickie Rae (DuBray) Hudson.

Pallbearers will be DJ Johnson, Andre Martin, Aaron Martin, Arri Zimiga, Austin Zimiga, Andre Zimiga, and, Danita Zimiga.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Wounded Head, Ryan White Feather, Norman Gerry, Sonny Zimiga, Gene Hudson, and all Friends and Relatives.
