Funeral services for 82-year old Lenora Phyllis (LaMont) Blue Bird will be Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3:00 at the Passcreek CAP Office in Allen, SD, with Fr. Ron Seminara, S.J. officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr. Steve DuBray

Burial will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Allen, SD

A one-night wake service will be held Friday May 17 at the Passcreek CAP Office in Allen starting at 4:30 PM with rosary services starting at 7:00 PM.

Lenora Phyllis (LaMont) Blue Bird was born on May 16, 1936 in Allen, SD to Gilbert and Josephine (Under Baggage) LaMont and a made her journey to the Spirit World on May 13, 2019 at the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home near Rushville, NE.

Lenora is survived by her children, Mona Bettelyoun of Rapid City, SD, George D. Blue Bird, Robert Blue Bird and Millie Blue Bird, all of Sioux Falls, SD, Theresa Blue Bird of Tampa, FL, Buffy Sullivan of Sioux Falls, SD, Warren Blue Bird of Oglala, SD and Gilbert Blue Bird of Rapid City, SD; siblings, Ione LaMont-Bettelyoun of Martin, SD, Vincent LaMont, Jr. of Allen, SD, Steven LaMont and Delphine Lessert, both of Pine Ridge, SD; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Josephine LaMont; brothers, Tilden, Gary and Richard LaMont; sister, Rhoda LaMont; daughter, Ione Marlys Blue Bird; and uncle, Vincent LaMont, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Howard Blue Bird, Emmitt Cottier, Daniel Blue Bird, Triston Mills, Alonzo LaMont, Waylon LaMont, Norman Standing Soldier and Jonathan Bad Wound, Jr

Honorary pallbearers will be All Residents and Staff of the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home near Rushville, NE and All Friends & Relatives.
