Funeral services for Vine Vincent White Face, age 66, will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Pastor Ken Trivette, Pastor Joe Cross, and Pastor David Lays Bad officiating.

Burial will be at St. Julia’s Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with evening prayers starting at 7:00 PM.

Vine was born on September 8, 1952 in Pine Ridge, SD to Melvin White Face and Lucille (Bear Robe) White Face. He made his journey to the Spirit World on May 22, 2019 at Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.

Vine is survived by uncle Bernard White Face of Porcupine, SD; brother Duane White Face of Yankton, SD; adopted mother Fern Simmons of Rolla, ND; cousins Charity White Face, Kathy (Wayne) High Hawk, Violet Bear Runner and family, the Yellow Cloud Family, and Lorraine White Face, all of Porcupine, SD, and Geraldine Little Boy of Kyle, SD; aunts Bernice Black Bear and family of Wounded Knee, SD, Bernice White Hawk of Manderson, SD, and Pansy Hawk Wing and family of Rapid City, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Vine was preceded in death by parents Melvin and Lucille White Face; siblings Cecil M. White Face, Joseph R. White Face, and Suzanna White Face; uncle Isaac White Face; and grandparents Joseph White Face, Jessie (Ghost Bear) White Face and William Bear Robe.

Pallbearers will be Gary High Hawk, Miguel “Angelo” Marrufo, Kevin White Face, Deo White Face, Bill Broken Leg, Emmanuel Swick, Lloyd Helper, and Ken Richards Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be best friend Bob Lakota, White Face Family, Eagle Hawk Family, all of his Kolas at Big Bat’s, Paul Straubel, students at Mahokum Bible School, Hand of Faith Ministry, and all Friends and Relatives.
