A Memorial Service for 67-year old Katherine Anne "Katie" Thies will be Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart Church in Pine Ridge, SD.

A prayer service and wake will be Monday June 3rd at 7pm, also at Sacred Heart Church in Pine Ridge.

The family has set up a memorial to the Rushville Volunteer Fire Rescue and Ambulance services in the name of Katie Thies.

Katherine Anne Thies was born on October 27, 1951, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming, to Donna Jean "Raboin" and Randall Louis Thies, then was joined later that day by brothers James Edward and John Louis to complete the arrival of triplets.

Katie, James, and John were later joined by sisters Lori, Jill, and Barbara, and brother Jack.

Katie graduated from Rushville High School, then attended Chadron State College before graduating from Rapid City Regional School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She spent her life caring for others, working the last 37 years at Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha, NE.

To her many nieces and nephews, she was the best and most generous auntie ever.

Katherine "Katie" Thies was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Goodwin, her father Randy, grandparents Edward and Winnifred Raboin and Louis and Ada Thies.
