06/22/2019 - Anthony David DeSersa

Funeral services for Anthony David DeSersa, age 53, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the LaCreek CAP Office in Martin, SD with Father Ed Hunt officiating. All Prayer Leaders are welcome for the Traditional Lakota services 

Burial will be at the Inestimable Gift Episcopal Cemetery in Allen, SD.

A two-night wake service will begin at 5:30 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the LaCreek CAP Office in Martin, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.

Anthony was born on July 7, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD. On Wednesday June 12, 2019, he made his journey to the spirit world. He was 53 years old when he passed, in the city he loved for many years, Denver Colorado. He was the son of Alvin W. Hernandez & Gloria G. DeSersa-Bradshaw. Anthony was an artist, who also enjoyed cooking and making his friends and family laugh. He had a sense of humor that will be remembered forever.

He leaves behind 3 brothers and 5 sisters: Alvin Hernandez Jr., Donald Long Soldier, and John Bradshaw Jr., Shelly Ann Hernandez, Misty Hernandez and Howard Rooks, Nadine Bradshaw and Mike Ivery, Sunshine Bradshaw, and Cherita Bradshaw. And special friend Nina Little Bald Eagle.

He will meet again with his parents, Alvin W. Hernandez Sr and Gloria G. DeSersa Bradshaw, his paternal grandparents, Ambrose Hernandez and Agnes G. Hernandez, his maternal grandparents, Rachel Richards and David DeSersa. He will also be reunited with his sisters, Brenda Hernandez, Carmen DeSersa, and his brothers, Gordon Hernandez and Francis DeSersa. Anthony’s nephew Alvin Hernandez waits for him, as well.

Pallbearers will be William “Bill” Montileaux, Francis Montileaux, Steve Hernandez, Charles Hernandez, Jesus Cabral, Conan Janis, Robert DeSersa, Earl Richards, Jr. and Brian Condon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Grandchildren, and All Friends & Relatives.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Anthony David DeSersa.
