A Mass of Christian Burial for Cobina Rae Mayo Saves Life, age 74, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD with Father Ed Witt, S.J., officiating.

Graveside services will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Hisle, SD.

A luncheon along with fellowship to celebrate Cobina’s Life and Memories will follow services. 

A visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD.

Cobina was born on September 25, 1944 in Pine Ridge, SD to George Mayo Saves Life and Mabel Irene (Randall) Richards. She passed away on June 26, 2019 at Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.

Cobina is survived by six children Twyla Dawn Mayo, Tavis, Maurice, and Tarcel Duerson, Kristi Westover, and Hanna Rae Saves Life; sister and best friend Hanna Amiotte; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cobina was preceded in death by father George Mayo Saves Life; mother Mabel Irene (Randall) Richards; brothers Earl Wayne Saves Life, and Calvin and Ramsey Richards; and sisters Stella Saves Life and Lovey Rose Okley.

Cobina “BluBlu” had a heart of gold and will be missed by all her friends and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Jim Meeks, Bob Amiotte, Bill Amiotte, Lenart Brown Eyes, Lloyd Brown Eyes, and Billy Seidel.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Cobina Rae Mayo Saves Life.
